How scoring works

Four steps from first serve to the ladder.

  1. 01

    Pick the game

The scorer logs in on the club page and taps the fixture. Teams, court and time are already there from the draw.

  2. 02

    Set the line-ups

Choose who starts and the first server. Rotations and service order follow from there.

  3. 03

    Tap each point

One tap per rally. Serve, rotation, set score and the game clock all move on their own. Timeouts and subs are a tap away.

  4. 04

    Finish the match

Sets close at the score your club plays to. The result saves, the ladder updates and parents see it live.

Built for a real comp night, not just a scoreboard.

Your club's rules

Best of 5 or 3, social sets that can draw, or timed halves. Set the points to win, deciding set, win by, timeouts, game clock and ladder points to match how your comp plays.

Beach and timed games

Beach mode switches to FIVB beach rules (best of 3 to 21/15, 2 a side, switch every 7/5). Timed thirds or halves for social nights.

Scores with no wifi

Courtside reception drops out. Scoring keeps going on the device and syncs the moment it's back online.

Live for parents and players

Every point shows on your club's public page. No login, no app to download, no phone numbers or emails on show.

Ladder, finals and votes

Results feed the ladder straight away. Finals and best-player votes (3-2-1, best on court, or off) run from the same app.

Every scorer gets a login

Hand out a username per scorer. They score from their own phone; you keep the admin side to yourself.

Compared

ScoreSpike vs a scoreboard-only app.

A scoreboard app is fine for a backyard hit. A comp needs the score to go somewhere: the ladder, the draw, the finals and the parents watching from home.

Volleyball scoring app questions.

One that does more than the scoreboard. ScoreSpike scores every point courtside, then takes the result straight to the ladder, the draw, finals and a public page parents can follow live. It's built for indoor, beach and social night comps.

The first 30 days are free, with no card needed to start. After that it's A$19.99 / month or A$199 / year per club, with unlimited teams and scorers. Big multi-division clubs use ScoreSpike+ at A$79.99 / month or A$899 / year.

No. It runs in Safari or Chrome on any phone, tablet or desktop. Add it to your Home Screen and it opens like an app.

Yes. Every club gets its own page (yourclub.scorespike.com.au) showing live scores, fixtures, the ladder and finals. Nobody needs to log in to watch.

Yes. In Settings → Scoring rules pick a preset or set your own: best of 5 or 3, social games where every set is played and draws count, or timed halves. You choose the points to win, deciding set, win by 1 or 2, timeouts, game clock, players a side and ladder points for a win, draw and loss.

Yes. Beach mode uses FIVB beach rules: best of 3 sets to 21 (15 in the decider), 2 a side, switching ends every 7 points (5 in the decider), one timeout a set and a technical timeout at 21.

Keep scoring. The game is saved on the scorer's device and syncs when the connection comes back. If two people change the same comp, ScoreSpike merges the results rather than overwriting them.

Yes. Give each scorer their own username and password, and run every court at the same time from different phones or tablets.
