Terms of Service

Last updated 15 October 2026. ScoreSpike, ABN 90 738 457 055.

These terms are an agreement between you and ScoreSpike (ABN 90 738 457 055), based in Victoria, Australia. By creating an account or using ScoreSpike you agree to them. If you are signing up for a club, you confirm you have authority to agree for that club.

The service

ScoreSpike is an online app for running volleyball competitions: teams, fixtures, live scoring, ladders, finals and best-on votes. Each club has its own account and its own public page. The app runs in a web browser on any phone, tablet or desktop computer, and can be added to a phone's home screen. It is not sold through an app store.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older to open a club account. Scorers and club users are added by the club and use the logins the club gives them. Anyone can view a club's public page without logging in.

Your account

  • Keep your login details private. You are responsible for what happens under your login and your club's logins.
  • Give us a real email address. We use it for sign-in, password resets, billing and important notices.
  • Tell us straight away at admin@scorespike.com.au if you think someone else has used your account.

Your club's data

  • Your club owns the data it puts into ScoreSpike: teams, players, fixtures, scores and votes.
  • You give us permission to store, back up and display that data so the service works, including showing fixtures, results and ladders on your public club page.
  • You must have permission to enter each person's details. Where a player is under 18, the club is responsible for getting consent from a parent or guardian.
  • Player names, phone numbers and email addresses are not shown on public pages.
  • You can download your club's data, and ask us to delete it, at any time.

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • break any law, or upload anything unlawful, offensive or that infringes someone else's rights;
  • try to get into another club's account or data;
  • copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, or overload it with automated requests;
  • create extra accounts to get another free trial.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where it is reasonable we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

Availability and changes

We work to keep ScoreSpike running and your data safe, including automatic backups. We cannot promise the service will never be interrupted, and we may change or improve features over time. If a change takes away something important you are paying for, we will tell you before it happens.

Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Where the law allows, our liability for any problem with the service is limited to supplying the service again or refunding the fees you paid for the period affected. We are not responsible for losses that happen because results or details were entered incorrectly.

Ending your account

You can stop using ScoreSpike and cancel any time (see Subscription and refunds). We may close accounts that have been inactive and unpaid for more than 12 months after giving 30 days' notice by email.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will email the account holder at least 14 days before it starts. Using ScoreSpike after that date means you accept the updated terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.
