Cookie Policy

ScoreSpike uses only the cookies and browser storage it needs to work. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Cookies we set

• Sign-in session (name starts with __Host-): keeps you logged in to the club desk and HQ. Expires when you sign out or after the session ends.
• Session cache: a short-lived signed copy of your session so pages load faster. Lasts up to 5 minutes.

Browser storage we use

• ss-theme: remembers if you picked light or dark mode. Stays until you change it.
• Saved clubs: the clubs you starred in Find a club, so they show first. Stays until you clear it.
• Club app login: when a scorer or club admin logs in to a club app, a sign-in token is kept on that device. It expires after 12 hours and is deleted when they log out.
• Offline copy: for logged-in scorers and club admins, the club app keeps a copy of the competition and any game in progress on the device, so scoring keeps working without internet. It uploads when the connection returns and is deleted when they log out.
• Page cache: the club app saves its own page, images and fonts on the device so it can open without internet. No personal information is stored in it.

Third parties

If you sign in with Google or X, or pay through Stripe, those services may set their own cookies on their own pages. Their own policies apply.

Turning cookies off

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block them, you can still view public club pages, but you will not be able to sign in.
